Developmentally Appropriate Pizza Restaurant

Help me give my students access to journal writing materials! The mathematical projects we do with plates will add to the number sense the children are developing. Additionally, the dramatic play area . will be a pizza restaurant!

My Project

My goal for this project is to enhance the quality of materials the children have access to for practicing writing, doing math, and engaging in purposefully play. We would like to turn the play area in the classroom into a Pizza restaurant.

The children need developmentally appropriate chances to engage in play within a learning setting.

My students enjoy learning while collaborating during free choice time. They love to also write their letters this year and they also love to do ART.

We like to do math activities that include hands on counting and that is what we will use the paper plates for along with using them for the pizza restaurant.
