My Students

My students are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are future journalists, artists, and engineers. They are our future and I want to give them tools to work towards success. As a middle school teacher, many of them have a multitude of different individualized needs. Our goal is to meet each and everyone of those needs.

Located in one of the lowest income neighborhoods in our state, our school is an incredible place that is striving to make positive changes in the community.

As a charter school, we receive less per student in state funds than a traditional public school. In total, approximately 89% of our students receive free or reduced-priced lunch. I need your help to provide my struggling students with the resources they need to be successful.

My Project

Every year a new wave of future artists, singers, dancers, and actors grace our stage for our musical productions. Many students use theatre as an escape from the pressures of everyday life and explore the endless possibilities of their imaginations.

Theatre is not something that can be overlooked.

It exposes students to experiences they might not have elsewhere. It builds a sense of community, culture, patience, and even morals. It encourages and builds skills that will prove to be helpful later in life. In today's world, communication is constantly evolving and it is often times difficult to keep up the pace. I have found that most of our students end their journey of starring in a musical production with new and improved ways of communicating, a skill that is critical to success in the 21st century. These headsets are an essential part of this process and will allow our students to continue to grace our stage and captivate our community with their amazing talent. Our students would benefit tremendously from this product.
