Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 25 curious and enthusiastic TK students. Even for their young age, their desire to learn amazes me every day. I teach at Title 1 school, where my students come from low income families but this has never stopped them from wanting to learn more and growing their creative minds. Most of the students who enter the classroom have no school experience and their development come from so many different levels. From the first day they enter, their minds begin to mold into creative beings and I see them grow throughout the year.

“Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.”-Maria Montessori

With manipulative and appropriate tools for learning, I can create a safe learning environment and engage all learners.

My Project

These materials will allow my students to continue to learn from home and continue to engage them without having to burden their parents to purchase supplies that I would normally supply for them on a daily basis. I want to be able to give my young students what we will use throughout the year so they can continue their love for love for learning. I do not want them to loose their love for learning, and these supplies will help to engage them by engaging them to want to learn more. The dry erase boards will allow students to record daily Writing Prompts,Math number of the day and drawings. The scissors will allow them to develop cutting skills needed for their motor skills. The post it will be usually for display visuals during Zoom Lessons.
