This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our district, Oakland Unified in California, we are in great debt. It has become a challenge to get the technology we need to push our students forward.
The Elmo projector is a fantastic piece of technology.
Students follow along as teachers model writing samples, make changes to writing samples, and can present how to create a strong writing sample.
In addition, this projector allow student to student presentations. Students have the opportunity to become teachers in class by not only presenting their work but showing them how they arrived and completed their work. This builds confidence.
When students present using the projector it gives them the opportunity to organize their own thoughts and hear their own voice.
Kiddos enjoy seeing, watching, and learning from their peers.
My students have a natural thirst for learning. The projector will increase the learning process.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
