Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Each one of our scholars will have the opportunity to learn math in a fun visual way. Math is part of the learning of students for many years. Throughout my experience in teaching, math is one subject that students enjoy with fun activities and visuals. The materials purchased will be used during small group instruction as well as whole group. The materials such as dominos, large dice, clocks, and write wipe pockets will be used to create fun and engaging math activities for students to develop, practice, and master their skills during their independent practice at workstations. Materials such as the magnetic base 10, number lines, will be used in whole group as well as in small group instruction. Lastly, the double-sided magnetic easel will be used to provide instruction during small group with objectives, magnetic materials, and instruction.

My students will be more engaged in their work and will have various opportunities to master their math skills.

The products I selected will help my students in making math fun and meaningful as well as provide support for all levels of students. These materials will be used within lessons as well as for creating workstations for students to practice their skills.
