This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Reading is the key to success! Reading opens the doors to so many worlds that some children will never be able to visit. I want to give my students the opportunity to move beyond their small world and find new adventures through reading.

It takes a village to raise a child... we are part of these children's village and through our time and generosity we can give them the opportunity to expand their worlds.

By building my own classroom library, I can help create motivation and hopefully spark a passion for reading. These books will begin to help share my own love of reading with my students and hopefully one day I may be reading something from one of them.
