Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am setting up and restocking my classroom desk pet system for our classroom to help students keep their spirits high and be motived to continue to learn. Desk pets can be earned based on how well the student is working and having a positive attitude. My third graders can earn pets and accessories on positive behavior, keeping a clean area, and working hard. Students exhibiting these behaviors will be rewarded with the opportunity to choose a desk pet, food, or toys for their pet.

Having a companion in class will help motivate students to earn more fun items for their pet.

Students will get to spend time with a desk pet! Each pet will receive a home that will be on the students desk. The desk pet will be watching to make sure each student is on task, keeping everything tidy, and being kind to everyone.
