My Students

My students are eager to learn, curious, and active! We are a neighborhood school, which many of my students have attended since Pre-K. Our parents and community are actively involved. However, many of my students face learning challenges and seek alternative ways to engage in instruction. Over 40% of my class is economically disadvantaged. It is my goal to provide my students with an environment that is comfortable, safe, and provides each student with the opportunity to reach their academic potential.

My Project

Our students are ready to return to in-person instruction! To make the transition back to school easy and as safe as possible, I am seeking desk shields for each student desk. We have worked hard to make sure our classroom is safe, socially distanced, and ready for students. Each day students will eat lunch in the classroom, my hope is that while students have their masks off, they will be able to interact with myself and peers safely with desk shields to protect each student. Desk shields will provide safety for students so that we are able to get on with learning.
