My Project

Being a science teacher at a STEM school, I notice that my students are always looking for new ways to grow. The growth of my students takes place both in and out of the classroom. My students are consistently involved in extracurricular activities where they embrace their passions both from the classroom and outside of the classroom. The basis of this project is to give my students the start of an outlet to work with equipment that can help grow their interests. Science Olympiad is an extracurricular activity that I coach where the students are specifically choosing their areas of interest and working in an academic setting to channel their passions.

The students in Science Olympiad could greatly benefit from having this HP laptop to work with, and it would help them draw, create, and organize their ideas into a central place.

The students in Science Olympiad are all certified in AutoCAD, a designing program where they can 3-D design their concepts, and then utilize a 3-D printer, which we have, as a means to print their engineered ideas with filament. Giving my students this piece of technology will help them complete their work at school, give me the opportunity to work with them on their designs and then provide the opportunity to print out their designs with the 3-D printer.
