My Project

Trying to keep technology updated in a classroom is hard! Trying to help expose students to possible job and career opportunities is hard! This is even more difficult when tools to do a specific job are not working properly. My school, located in a rural area, has started a 3D Design class where students learn the ins and outs of TinkerCAD and create designs to print on a 3D Printer. Seeing my student's excitement as the printer is working and seeing their final project makes me excited as well. This excitement only happens though when our printer actually works.

By donating you'll help keep the excitement alive as my class is down to 1 workable 3D printer, and that printer is having some questionable moments.

Living in a rural community it is a privilege to be able to expose my students to this type of technology that is becoming much more mainstream. Applications of 3D design are growing everyday. I want to help students see that they are capable of building and designing objects that can be printed and used. This whole process only works if my class has a reliable, up to date printer.

This printer will not only keep the excitement alive for students in the 3D Design class, but for the school as a whole. Any student who walks by or comes into my classroom gets exposure to this process. The number of students who say, "That's so cool! How does it work?" makes me see how valuable this technology and exposure is for my students.
