My Project

My students are creative and inquisitive learners who are excited when new tools and materials enter our classroom. They love to try new things and experiment with what we are learning. As part of our upcoming units on graphic design, they will be asked to design something that they can give to someone else to lift their spirits, show support, or just be kind. The masking cover tape, light bases, and acrylic pieces will be used with our new Glowforge to create their designs and help bring happiness to others.

Random acts of kindness, supporting others, and providing someone a smile for the day, is one way that students can serve the school community and help the social-emotional well-being of others.

Having the materials to allow them to do this will be a big step in this direction. We received a grant from our STEM department that allowed us to purchase the Glowforge, but we need materials we can use to be creators and makers. The students are so excited to get started. This will give us some materials that will allow them to get started.
