Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school has been bursting at the seams for awhile now. Some teachers work in the hallway, and every inch of space is used for instruction. Thankfully, the district recently built a brand new modular unit. Fourth grade is moving into these brand new classrooms, and we are excited!

For the first time in my career, I get to design, decorate, and organize a classroom from scratch.

I imagine a clean, bright, and cheerful space where students easily access manipulatives and supplies. I envision a room with limited distractions, cheerful and inclusive language, and beautiful materials. With your help, we can make that happen.

While teaching math, science, and social studies, I simultaneously teach English Language Acquisition across all content areas. The majority of my students are Multilingual Learners, so I need a language rich environment that fosters inclusion and independence. By requesting these posters and organizational materials, I can build a space that makes everyone feel welcomed.
