My students need all the supplies I have requested to make this project possible. The library at Woodrow has donated the books for this project.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Wright's classroom raised $536

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager to do a 3D project but our budget is not allowing me to get the supplies I need for them to do so.
I teach Art 1 to over 200 students at a inner city Title 1 school.
They love Art but are unable to provide the supplies necessary for Art projects. As with all public schools our budgets are small and seem to be getting smaller everyday. They are amazing students and some have talent beyond your wildest dreams, but I am not able to provide the supplies and projects to stretch their skills and imaginations. With your help this will be possible.
My Project
This is an amazing project where we take books that our library is being forced to remove because they are so out of date and we will be able to deconstruct them and turn them into paper sculptures. If we get the supplies we need, including glue, scissors, paper punches and more, we can do this project- the ultimate of recycling and turning trash into treasured Art!
My mother, my aunt, my sister, myself and two of my nieces all went to this high school in Dallas, Texas.
I have a BFA and an MA because of the Art program that I had at this school in the 1970's. I am committed to bringing this program back to its glory days and with your help it will be possible!
