My Project

I work in Reading Intervention at a Title One school. Many of our students come to our school in upper elementary grades not knowing all of their letters and sounds. I work with these students to help them learn to read. Since many of my students are older elementary age, but read on a Pre-K reading level, the books available to them at their reading level are geared toward much younger children.

By having high interest, easily decodable books that are aimed toward the interests of older students, the students will engage with what they are reading, making learning to read a great experience.
