My Project

Education is starting to look at reading instruction with new zoomed lenses. The importance of teaching students explicit phonics has become an important part of our reading instruction. The buzz work in education is “the Science of Reading.” This is such an important wave in education and has made me a stronger reading teacher. One need for this is decodable text that matches the phonics skill you are teaching. Giving student text they can decode helps build their fluency, comprehension, and confidence. I would like to build a decodable library for all students, but especially for those struggling readers that need more books they can successfully read!
