My Project

I am excited to increase the number of real books in the classroom library for my beginning readers. My readers range from pre-readers to at-level readers, but the library doesn't represent this range.

Giving students choices in finding a just-right book is a goal of every teacher.

Students in my class need to have access to a library that secures fiction and non-fiction materials for students to choose from, based on their personal interests and ability. I want my classroom to be an exciting and engaging place where all kids can read more than the pictures. This project is based on supplying decodable books, that include fiction and nonfiction books, to complement our rigorous ELA curriculum.
