Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Next school year we are looking to start a podcast. As our students are coming out of their shell, they are realizing they have a lot to say. We want to give them a platform to be heard. This will also help as they are able to share AVID strategies and how they are being implemented in their daily lives.

In AVID, we are big on student led activities, and this podcast will be fully student led.

They will create the topics, plan their guests, and record the podcast weekly. They will also be able to create vlogs of their socratic seminars and their philosophical chairs activities.

We want to give our students a platform to express their thoughts, and also share their solutions to the things that plague them most. Thank you in advance for giving them the resources they need to grow and express themselves in a productive way.
