My students are change-makers! They are driven, passionate dreamers. Our school has a focus on equity, community involvement and creating future world leaders. One of the most important things that I have to do as their teacher is pick engaging and exciting texts that provoke their minds. I want to ensure my students have access to the tools they will need to activate their learning and engagement. I have found that making them feel empowered is the key to cracking the shell of adolescence with middle schoolers.
Many students at my school have difficulty in having the tools needed to complete tasks designed for their learning; my kiddos are kind hearted, passionate learners.
They are truly an incredible and impactful group, and I am thankful to have a new group of scholars that are excited and ready to learn this year! This may be small but such kind hearts deserve the best I have to offer. You can help me give them that by starting with their own book of poetry to study from.
These items will ensure my students have access to all the materials they will need to develop as learners and leaders. To help them engage in the learning, I want to make sure they can have materials, such as individual copies of books, that they can use both inside and outside of the classroom.
During the lingering effects of the global pandemic, it is more important than ever to ensure students have access to materials to help them develop as learners and leaders.
These students are CHANGE MAKERS and deserve the materials they need to thrive in the classroom, virtual environment and beyond.
