My Project

I am a new infant teacher, passionate about nurturing the unique potential of Deaf babies. My students are curious, eager to explore, and full of potential. They inspire me every day with their resilience and ability to communicate in diverse ways. To support their language development, I am requesting a variety of language learning toys that will make a significant difference in their early education.

The pretend play toys, such as doctor and dentist sets, will spark their imagination and introduce new vocabulary and concepts.

These sets will foster both social and language skills through role-playing. Toys that teach letters, numbers, and shapes are crucial for early literacy and numeracy, providing a tactile and visual way for my students to understand important educational foundations.

Board books and puzzles are essential for developing fine motor skills and cognitive abilities. The vibrant images and simple text in board books will captivate their attention and encourage interaction, while puzzles will challenge them to think critically and solve problems. Turn-taking toys will promote social skills and language development by encouraging interaction and communication among the students.

My goal for this project is to create an engaging and enriching learning environment that supports the unique needs of Deaf infants. By providing these resources, I aim to foster their language acquisition, social interaction, and cognitive development in a fun and meaningful way.

Many Deaf babies grow up without language because their hearing parents often do not know how to communicate with them yet. This lack of early communication can delay their language development. My students need extra language support to bridge this gap and ensure they have a strong foundation for future learning.
