My Project

I will be starting my 3rd year of teaching as a high school Teacher of the Deaf. I have the most amazing students and I have been trying new lessons and activities to help support their needs. Since I work with Deaf students, I need to use supplemental materials, in conjunction with the curriculum to support their language needs. In addition, since my students use American Sign Language to communicate, I need to ensure language access and understanding is present in all my lessons. I currently teach five different subjects and therefore am always changing and trying new things to ensure student success. I am requesting one $100 Teachers Pay Teachers Gift Card which will allow me to purchase curriculum and material for the upcoming school year. This will allow me to be able to find specific teacher made materials that benefit my DHH students language and abilities. I am also teaching a new subject this upcoming school year and this gift card will help provide me with material to support in my teaching.
