Help me give my students relief from escalation, anger, and sensory issues. The emotion wheel pillow and weighted sloth will help with regulation and return to the classroom.

My Project

We live in a rural area where mental health services are slim. There has been great strides made in the past few years to extend these services for our area, but we are seeing more behavior escalation and sensory issues with incoming students. Students come to my office escalated and de-regulated. These items will help myself and the classroom teachers aide our students in their mental health journey.

My goal is to provide a place where my students can de-escalate, become more mindful, and return to class.

The counseling room should be a safe haven for all students to express themselves and obtain healthy coping strategies. These items will help them do that.
