My Project

We are a large urban high school in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Our school has 980 students, is very diverse and we have great students. As we any high school we are not without struggles and issues. Bay View students have a high poverty rate 83%, 23.4% of our students are in special education and 14.9% are English Language Learners. Students come from all areas of the city and all backgrounds.

Every Wednesday we do a Mental Health Awareness Day and in May we want to host a day of hope/day of cope where students can get and give messages of hope across the school community.

We envision button and bracelet making, talks about mental health and resources, raw conversations, games and activities, but we need your help to make it happen. Your donation will help this day become a reality for our students. We all deserve good mental health and we want to provide it and give hope. Thanks!
