My Students

My fourth grade students are inquisitive, risk takers, determined, and enthusiastic. Their ideas, passion, and knowledge are truly inspiring. The students have a willingness to share and communicate with their peers that is a positive asset in the classroom.

My students walk into the class every morning knowing that they can rise to the challenges presented to them through hard work and perseverance.

The students are a diverse group of learners. They are encouraged to learn and grow at their own speed to become capable and confident learners.

My Project

As the final project for the school year, students will be transforming their hallway into a wax museum. Each student will have to read a Who Is/Who Was...book on an individual of their choice. The students will then complete a biography of that person. On the day of the museum, the students will be frozen in a stance that represents their person, come to life to give a quick biography when their button is pressed, and then freeze back to their stance. The whole school comes to this showcase and teaches other students a lot of information. The students need these books so they can have some choices of individuals to choose from.

The students also need the Where Is... and What Are..

books to help them gain important background knowledge.
