My Project

Dash robots are great for learning how to use block coding! The blockly wonder app guides students in grades 3-5 through basic commands then sounds, lights, movements like dancing and more!

The 4 Dash robots will be used for small groups to take their programming skills to the next level.

Students will use the Wonder Workshop's free puzzle tutorials to learn how to control speed, direction, turn angles, sounds and light. When students are ready to test out a programming challenge, they will connect to a dash robot to run their program. Block coding introduces students to coding language and prepares them for more advanced robotics for middle school. Students will build confidence and perseverance through trial and error.

The Dash robots will help students understand that any robot can be programmed, from a robotic arm watering a farm to factory production equipment and more! Students will use the dashes to learn how technology can help solve problems and make life easier!
