My Students

"Music is a language the whole world speaks." I want my students to have a fulfilling, enriching, and engaging classroom experience. I want them to be able to use music as a tool to help them discover and rationalize the world around them. Accessibility to the world around them is my main goal.

My students at Daroff Charter School are a very hands on and minds on group.

My students enjoy using all of the instruments I already have in my classroom and I would love for them to experience every instrument that they possibly can during their time here.

My Project

My students will be able to learn to play the various xylophones in my room using the mallets. I plan to eventually incorporate certain class songs that they are working on into our various concerts. Recorders are an effective way for students to instantly find success because of their simplicity. The boomwhackers will help provide my students with the experience of improve with both rhythm and melody.

I believe that the tools I am asking for will enhance my students' musical experience in my classroom.

I believe that music class is a time where students get a break from the normal classroom and these materials will help achieve greatness in my classroom.
