My Students

Students Making A Real Transition (S.M.A.R.T) is how I can best describe my students. Even though they may be moving from home to home or from shelter to shelter due to being homeless, they are resilient, hopeful, and driven. My students always strive to do their best, no matter what obstacles may occur. They are brave, strong, ambitious, and kind. They create a goal, and they persevere through it.

My Project

These items will make a tremendous impact in my students' learning. Enhancing the counselor suite will help the counseling team create a safe, stable, peaceful and secure environment where the students can relax , learn and share their feelings and opinions with their peers and counselors This community will teach our students social-emotional skills such as self-awareness, behavioral management, self-confidence, goal-directed behavior, and decision making. Giving the students these techniques will encourage them to be better scholars in the classroom and eventually be driven to be good citizens of society.
