This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m entering my second year of teaching and would love some help preparing my classroom environment to be organized and engaging for my students.

I am requesting a portable projector to support my students during music and movement time.

My kids love to dance and do yoga, but we only have a laptop to watch videos on, so it is hard for them to follow along.

I am requesting a stick vacuum because our room is completely carpeted and it is difficult to clean up between classes (I have a split class) and at the end of the day. I also feel that we are limited on what we can put in our sensory table without a vacuum.

I am requesting laminating sheets for making small group activities reusable and durable. As well as organization supplies so we can easily prepare for the week.

My goal this project is to make it easier for me to support my students. Right now, I feel limited on which songs I can let them choose for music time because they can’t all see. So it has to be something simple. I also feel limited on what can go in their sensory table because we only have a broom in a carpeted classroom.

My students are placed in my class based on several qualifying factors, including, income, IEP needs, foster care, and homelessness. I strive to make my classroom clean, organized, and inviting and I believe my requests will support my students in these areas.
