Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are elementary students with a multinational background. They are energetic, creative, and filled with life. Many if not most have recently come to America and strive to find their place within our school and their peers. They are expressive, full of wonder, and I would like to provide them with every opportunity to succeed and experience new possibilities.

My Project

Our school is going through construction and pandemic simultaneously, leaving us with a limited area to conduct our activities and limited use of various equipment.

I have chosen the parachutes, because of the safe distances that can be kept between individuals and groups and the number of activities that they could be used for promoting socialization and teamwork.

The parachutes also provide a limited contact surface that is easily cleaned between student uses.

The limbo bar will allow me to provide a new fun experience that requires no contact by the student to which I can incorporate rhythm and dance. Thank you!
