My Project

Our 5th grade class is in need of tap shoes for their tap lessons in our new dance room.

We are a Title I school- more than 50% of our school's population is economically disadvantaged.

Our school has a brand new dance room and this class of 5th graders will be using it for the first time.

Tap is a wonderful performing art to introduce to a group of almost middle- schoolers, so that they can appreciate the art of dance. I was a dancer and dance teacher for many, many years and I would love to bring this wonderful art form to the students of my school. Tap would be a very engaging form of dance, lots of fun, and a wonderful way for my students to get in some exercise at the same time.
