Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a product of and exists to serve the students of various neighborhoods. The school has a very diverse background of students from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Africa, and other Latin countries. We opened in 2006 as the very first charter school in our district. Our school was founded by a team of local educators who came together with the specific intent to provide the community they served and loved with an excellent educational option. We are an independent public charter school.

My Project

This will help our dancers performance. At this time having something to look forward to is keeping our dance students motivate. Having these coats is something they will always cherish and build amazing memories with. Knowing this can make such a huge impact in the dance performance but also a strong bond of friendship and compassion. I will love to give these to my students who I know parents may need a little help in not being able to afford much right now. I know this will make them so happy and bring the joy they need right now! Thank you so much in advance!!
