My Students

I teach at a Title I school in the School District of Philadelphia. We have approximately 1,300 students, almost all of our students receive free lunch.

My classroom is filled with diversity!

My students come from many different socioeconomic backgrounds, including English language learners, low-income homes, and few learning experiences outside of their neighborhood.

My students are amazing because they are smart, hard-working, and adaptable.

They all aspire big dreams and will work hard to reach the goals that they set. They are positive and have a "ready to learn" attitude that is contagious. Every student is valued and appreciated for their contributions of unique talents, knowledge, and skills that they bring to our classroom.

My Project

The school year is just beginning and my students are ready to learn! I am asking for clip boards, art materials, glue sticks, and scissors to use during workstations and special projects. Many of my students will not have their own supplies. I want to make sure that every student has what they need to become successful learners. These supplies allow students to work where inspiration strikes. I want to keep the supplies organized and easily accessible to the students.

My students will use these materials while becoming better readers, writers, and community members.

I want to offer them a dynamic classroom full of many learning opportunities where their natural creativity can come shining through.
