My Project

My first graders are so excited to be learning to read and have become excited about displaying their learning all over the school. A Cricut in our classroom would make that so much easier and the technology would be great. We spend half the year learning about birds: the parts of birds that help them survive, different kinds of birds and their habitats, and how we can help protect birds. Right now, we are reading books about real birds that lived in the city including Maggie, The One-Eyed Falcon who loved right here in Richmond, VA. We even had 2 birds fly into our classroom one day! A Cricut would make art projects and special signs doable. We also have several English Language learners and could make bilingual signs so we all can learn.
