Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a vibrant community that serves 500 young learners. Our building has 100 years of history and is the oldest still running public school in Arlington. This past year, our building received a much needed renovation and updated HVAC machine.

After the renovation, our hallway, classroom and wall labels have all been removed.

Elementary students rely on visual cues to know where to line up, and stop in the hall. In addition, the affirmations on the walls across our school have been removed. With the purchase of these materials, I will recreate the visuals that support all our learners.

In addition, I will collaborate with students and teachers to make decals and stickers. We will hone our graphic design skills in Canva and then use Cricut Design Space to bring our creations to life.

Thank you for helping our school community, increasing our technology knowledge and assisting us in "cutting it out".
