Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school population is majority Latino, but we do service African American, Caucasian, Muslim and Chinese families. Students come into the classroom every day ready to learn, and for many of my students, I am their gateway to an academically enriched environment.

My prekindergarten students are young explorers and demand to be challenged and engaged at all times, my classroom is an adventure every day.

My Project

Normalcy during this time is very uncommon. The materials being donated will drastically and positively impact my students learning emotionally and developmentally. All of my students are learning through remote and are stationary at home due to the current state of our nation, and families don't have the resources nor ability to make education fun for their children.

In donating board games to my students and their families, it will allow for brain stimulation in areas that are responsible for memory formation and complex thought processes.

Our nation is going through a very hard time and for some families times are harder than others. Therefore family time is essential and having game nights is just the cure.
