Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Writing stories can be a fun and enjoyable process for some students, but not for all. Although students are great at coming up with stories in their head, they struggle to put their story into words and a plot line with a beginning, middle and end. I have learned over the years that Lego sets can be used to help students create storyboards on plates where they design a scene and build a narrative around what they've built.

Designing stories should involve all forms of creative expression, including Lego sets which students can use to design scenes and revise plot lines as their stories evolves.

The Lego sets included in this project will help to grow our classroom collection of Story Starter kits that we are building to support us through our creative narrative writing unit.
