This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year we are lucky enough to begin a brand-new co-ed soccer team to represent our Elementary. Our elementary is a Title-I school in Houston, TX! Because of the pandemic, we have not been able to have a soccer team for the past 2 years. This year over 130 students tried out! We finally have an amazing team ready to compete against other HISD schools. Our team will be composed of 25 young, eager players!

We are thrilled to have both boys and girls representing our school proudly on the soccer field.

In order to make this happen, I want to be able to customize the uniforms I received just yesterday from the recently funded DonorsChoose project. I want the team to shine on the field. My goal is to add the school logo, name, and player’s number on the jersey. I know that these uniforms will help shape our team! I want our students to feel proud and play their best! The Cricut machine and vinyl will be used to make the numbers and shirt logos. Both heat presses will be used to apply the school logo, name, and player’s number. The soap will we used to wash the uniforms after games, so that the students are able to receive fresh uniforms every game. Help us receive the tools to customize the player’s uniforms and keep them clean. Thank you in advance for all of your donations.
