My Students

My students come to school to learn and I need to make sure that I know every possible way to reach them. They look for and desire to explore, determined to find an experience. They are beginning to understand the wonderful experience a good education can offer!

I teach in a Title I school where 100% of the school receives free lunch.

My students live in a high poverty area. Access to literacy and supplies are key to their success, and such access begins and ends within our school walls. There are many things they will never be able to experience in real life that, with your help, I can offer. Please help me expose them to as many experiences as possible!

My Project

The cushioned seats will help my students be more comfortable while they are learning.

Cushioned seating is scientifically proven to help, boys specifically, be more attentive and on task while seated.

The way their bodies are made, when sitting on a hard, plastic chair, they are rubbing their tailbone on the plastic. There is no cushion built in. That is why most boys wiggle in their chairs, they are uncomfortable!

With these cushions, you will be helping my students be able to focus on their class work instead of trying to find a comfortable position to sit in.
