Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a special education teacher in an Integrated co-teaching classroom, and we work with students who have individualized education plans and students who do not. Many of our students do not have enough access to supplies and resources, and we are always looking to provide them with more.

We are a class filled with different learners who are always looking to help one another.

They are all sweet and treat one another with great respect and kindness. Our job is to provide students with the skills and strategies they need in order to find success, whether they are in special education or general education.

My Project

Our students are in need of some curtains for our windows! The blinds that are currently on our windows are broken and unusable, allowing for the sun and heat to penetrate our classroom. On warm days, students are hot and uncomfortable. The sun also creates an intense glare on our board! Students are uncomfortable and distracted throughout the day.

Our students need these blackout curtains to help keep our classroom cool and the sun glare off of our board!

Learning is difficult when you cannot see the board and when it is so hot, you cannot concentrate. Please help keep our classroom cool and glare-free!
