This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are dying to learn cursive writing! It is a skill that is no longer taught but one that is a skill to have nonetheless!

I am excited to bring this writing skill to my students and have them learn to write in cursive just as I did when I was in third grade!

These resources (journals, pens, practice workbooks) will provide a select group of 24 students the opportunity to use their recess and lunch time to practice a skill they desperately want to master! Cursive writing! They can take the practice pages home and practice at home as well, and I can provide feedback and corrections at school.

I am so excited! The girls asked me to post on Donors Choose these resources and I am proud of them for advocating for a skill they need and want! Of course as a dual language school, one of a handful in CT, they will receive writing instruction in cursive in both English and Spanish!
