This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me make current events accessible to my students. I teach students with significant disabilities, and they would like to be able to take a class on current events. However, it can be difficult for them to attend general education electives.

Access to Time for Kids and Scholastic Magazine will allow my students to read and explore current events in a way that is accessible to them.

These magazines help me focus on literacy in an engaging way, while simultaneously allowing my students to have a current events elective experience. Please donate today, so that my students can have access to a current events curriculum.
