My Students

My students are amazing, diverse learners who overcome numerous obstacles to learn and be successful. They come from families with worldly military experience and families that are native San Diego residents. They are happy, inquisitive and creative students who are excited to learn about the world around them near and far. They hope to one day be great members of our growing global society. I teach special needs students in a diverse environment to love learning and embrace their differences.

My Project

My students come from diverse backgrounds with diverse learning abilities. These Time magazines will allow them to become aware of current events and important things happening around the world to help them grow and become good citizens in an ever changing global community. My students will have the opportunity to read the magazines weekly and respond to an article at their individual reading level. These magazines will support my students who come to me with different ability levels and have the same opportunity to grow as individuals. I hope to instill the love of learning, compassion and empathy necessary to become citizens in our world.
