My Students

G-O-O-D M-O-R-N-I-N-G, Good Morning, Hey Hey, Good Morning! We start each morning with a chant, a smile, and a time for sharing stories at the carpet. The children are eager and excited to start the day.

P.S.

15 is a title 1 school, located in a quiet part of Brooklyn. I have 25 first grade students in an ICT classroom. They have so much potential. They are motivated, energetic and, curious about the world around them. They love to explore new things and take on new challenges. Collaborative play is a great time for them to explore their interests, as well as learn to effectively communicate with one another. Although we are just beginning to know each other at the start of the school year, we have gotten along so well. They have bright young minds eager to make new friends and explore!

My Project

The students will use these items to learn how to work cooperatively with peers. They will learn how to effectively communicate and socialize. These items will be used to help students learn more about themselves and their interests. They will also be able to act out real life situations. For example with the cash register and play kitchen set, students will be able to create a restaurant and role play. In addition these items will be used to help build the stamina of each child, so that they may be focused during times of literacy and math instruction.

These materials will allow my students to explore, experiment, and grow.

They will learn more about themselves and their interests. They will also learn how to communicate and socialize. My students will develop real life skills that they will need to succeed in the future.
