My Students

My students come from diverse backgrounds from different parts of a small, rural town. Many of them are economically disadvantaged. They are intelligent, kind, active, and eager to learn about anything.

My students work and learn individually, in pairs, and groups, and what they learn from each other is inspiring.

These students grow up with each other and support each other. They come in wide eyed and ready to start a day that they know will be safe, consistent, challenging, and fun!

My Project

Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) continue to influence the world of education. Students are given the opportunity to work together to solve real world problems that relate to their life outside of school. The Blocks Rock game challenges students to create specific tasks like a future employer may require. The marble run allows students to challenge or explore different solutions to a problem. Students can use the Brain Flakes, Magnetic Building Sticks and the "Dive into Shapes" kits to freely create structures.

Not only will students use and gain academic skills, these activities also promote social skills that students will use throughout their lives as our future leaders in the professional world.

STEAM activities are essential to the development of a well rounded individual ready to constructively fit into the community.
