Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My early childhood special education students are full of energy and ready to learn and explore. My students love to manipulate different textures and their curiosity drives them to learn new skills every day.

A day in preschool with a variety of materials makes learning fun and accessible.

They develop cognitive skills, fine motor skills and cooperative skills. My focus is for my students to meet their potential, grow, and develop fundamental skills. I am optimistic for my students to continue to grow and meet all their developmental milestones with these vital materials.

My Project

All of my special education students are always eager to get their hands on colorful, attractive and new materials that they may have never seen before. I wish to engage them in an activity that will allow them to explore their curiosity and be creative in making something that belongs to them. Specifically, these materials will allow them to recreate their favorite books, such as "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" and other titles.

All of my students are very curious and creative.

Therefore, despite their disabilities, these materials will allow them to learn, explore, and build foundational skills for a life time. I hope to help them learn how to develop cognitive skills, social emotional skills, and fine motor skills with these attractive and fun materials.
