Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"This school is fun!" exclaimed one of my Kindergarteners. My students are full of excitement, curiosity, and are motivated to learn. For them, school is a place of fun, of learning, and of excitement. They seek new adventures in their learning daily.

My kindergarten class exemplifies happiness!

I teach at a Title 1 school, where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students come from a variety of different economic and social backgrounds. Aside from their backgrounds, they live in a community where agriculture thrives and many families work in the fields; the heart of grapes.

My students are full of joy to come to school. To most of my students, I am their first school experience and I want to embrace their excitement, happiness and make their beginning of their educational career memorable! I want my students to know they are valuable and that their curiosity and motivation to learn will help them be successful.

My Project

The use of an Amazon Echo, a camera, and reading supplies will enable and contribute to my students' curiosity to discover higher levels of thinking, improve their vocabulary, and communication skills by asking and answering questions.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to increase their confidence in speaking, you will ultimately help improve their communication skills and discover the world of reading.

My students are intrigued by the happenings of the world, yet lack the confidence to speak in front of an audience. Learning in the 21st century, technology plays a key component for student engagement and opportunity to strive for academic success as well as to use reading as a guidance for learning.
