My Students

32 smiles, 32 personalities, 32 customs, celebrations and traditions - 32 that make my day fly by! My students this year are an engaging, curious and eager group of 32. They come to school each day "ready to learn" and appreciate new experiences.

32 students that bring all of themselves into our learning each day and share their similarities and differences with each other in an open and accepting environment.

My students are a 'talented and gifted' group that enjoy a variety of learning styles and approaches.

They are respectful of one another and participate in each other's celebrations.

My Project

To celebrate the winter holidays my students will create a keepsake with a watercolor on canvas creation. The canvas will elevate their artwork and lend it depth and lasting meaning. The watercolors will provide the medium for their cultural display.

These watercolor holiday creations will celebrate their culture.

This art project will honor each individual student by offering them the means and supplies to draw what is meaningful to them.

Students may choose to draw a Christmas scene while others might create a Chanuka setting or a Diwali illustration, some might paint a Kwanzaa picture while others might opt for a winter scene. All children will be afforded the opportunity to choose for themselves while being given quality and lasting art supplies to honor their traditions.
