My Students

The students I have been assigned as I cover the maternity leave of their original teacher, are so very kind, and eager to learn. The subject for the class is English as a Second Language. As I stand by the classroom door, welcoming each student, they never seem to let me down entering the classroom. They’re funny, high energy spirits, greet me with smiles, high fives, and every now and then, a Fort Nite dance. These students are from all around the world, very eager to learn the proper use of the English language.

After settling in, they open an independent book of their choice, read quietly, then wait for the daily lesson to begin.

The items I am requesting will provide them with updated reading material.

My Project

The items chosen will add much excitement to the students daily learning. Students look forward walking into their classroom with new choices. What a wonderful way to open their learning environment. Helping build students confidence provides them with the eagerness they need to succeed. Students will be very thankful for the opportunities to read new book added to their classroom library. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.

My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading.

They use an internet program that they must document each book they read, as well as a weekly reading log. These books will enable students to add newer titles to their list.

Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students.

The items chosen will help build students vocabulary, and understanding of the English language.

Thank you.
