Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These books will be used in the counseling office that serves student TK - 5 in order to support student with several different social emotional needs, including grief, self-esteem, inclusion, bullying, friendship skills, mindfulness, and many more.
For children literature holds a power to guide and support them as they learn to navigate the world around them.
By providing these updates to our library it will allow the students to see themselves represented within print supporting in cultivating a strong sense of identify. Additionally, they will aid our students in learning fundamental social emotional skills that they can add to the toolkits for the rest of their lives!
