This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are powerful and determined bilinguals who deserve the opportunity to read culturally relevant books as a class. These books will make a significant difference in their learning by empowering them with a sense of cultural pride and belonging. As they explore diverse stories, their language skills, critical thinking abilities, and empathy will flourish.

The goal of this project is to provide class sets of culturally relevant books that will be utilized in various ways throughout the year.

By donating to this cause, you will help my students engage in shared reading, literature circles, independent reading, and creative projects inspired by these books. Your support will foster a classroom community where students feel seen, respected, and motivated to excel academically.

Your contribution will empower these extraordinary students to become confident readers and critical thinkers who celebrate their unique identities.
