Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hungry, not only for food, but for fun engaging learning! My students love to explore and embrace their imagination all while engaging in lifelong learning. We enjoy moving and incorporating it into lessons!

My students are explorers, scientists, teachers, readers, mathematicians, and so much more!

They are full of energy and are excited to learn!

From the minute they walk in they know they are loved and that this is a safe place for them to take chances. With these new tools my students will be thinking outside of the box and even learning about coding at a young age! They will truly be 21st century learners!

My Project

There are so many diverse cultures, traditions, and celebrations just inside my classroom. I believe that it is important for my students to have a library that matches the diversity within my room and our surrounding community.

I think it is important that my students learn about other cultures, even at a young age.

I have requested books that will enhance the learning in our classroom for our many English Language Learners, as well as their classmates.

Today, more than ever, I want my students to understand the importance of tolerance, kindness, and peace. These books will allow my students to take a step in someone else's shoes and see why it is so important to have these characteristics. By discussing this in our class, I believe these books will impact their lives for many years to come.

Can books impact lives that are so young? I definitely think so! Thank you for considering this project!
